5. Brooklyn Nets

There really is little chance of Damian Lillard being sent away from the Portland Trail Blazers so this means CJ McCollum would be the choice. If this happens, it propels the Brooklyn Nets right into potential suitor talks.

The Nets made it clear that they want to win when they added Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving during free agency a year ago. Injuries derailed their 2020 season but they will be ready to go next year. Apparently, they are interested in adding another star.

McCollum is a star and he is one that can contribute right away on the perimeter in Brooklyn. Again, McCollum has played alongside a star throughout his entire career so he knows how to be the second fiddle.

If a deal is going to get done, the Nets might have to part ways with players like Caris LeVert or Taurean Prince. They also have a first-round pick this year from the Philadelphia 76ers.
