Golden State Warriors
The Warriors could be a fit for John Collins this offseason especially, as his salary would fit easily along with the Warriors’ stars.
Golden State has been rumored as a destination for Collins in the past, as we’ve covered here. Like Minnesota, the Warriors hold an enviable pick, and Collins could theoretically be part of a package that sees Atlanta move up to No. 2.
The Warriors could be in position to add a star if they’re able to include Andrew Wiggins’ salary in a trade. But other than that, Golden State’s options are somewhat limited.
That’s part of what makes Collins such an intriguing option. As mentioned, his production far outpaces his salary, and the Warriors could be the beneficiary of that next season before an eventual extension kicks in.
