Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been connected to John Collins in speculation due to the fact that Atlanta holds the No. 6 pick.
If the Hawks feel bold enough to trade up, perhaps Collins could be used an added incentive in addition to the 6th pick.
This could work if Minnesota is not quite sold on a prospect such as Anthony Edwards or LaMelo Ball at No. 1. Minnesota could drop back into the second tier of the first round, and potentially grab Collins as well.
The Timberwolves will try to break into the playoffs next season, and a player of Collins’ caliber could push Minnesota into contention.
The Wolves will be the most interesting team to watch on draft night, as all eyes will be on their decision at No. 1 overall. But if Collins is on the trade block, Minnesota should be a team to watch, as Collins is an affordable player who may not fit Atlanta’s longterm plan.
