Boston Celtics Trade-Up Target No. 2 — Killian Hayes

Killian Hayes could be the next great point guard to come out of France. At 6’5, he has great size for the position and could be an immediate contributor due to his professional experience overseas.

Hayes will enter the league as a capable three-point shooter. In 2019-20, he shot 40% from deep while averaging 12.8 points and 6.2 assists. The ball-handling ability and quickness he possesses set him apart.

LaMelo Ball is viewed as the best guard in this draft but Hayes could be the better value pick, especially for a team like Boston.

The Celtics would not have to give up their entire draft to acquire Hayes. They also have some players on their roster that could act as pieces in a trade.
