Charlotte Hornets
Charlotte needs more production at center. It’s one of the Hornets’ biggest needs this offseason and they’ll have multiple chances to address the position. One could be by making a trade with the Cavaliers.
Andre Drummond makes sense from a veteran standpoint, as he can come in and average 17 points and 15 rebounds per game.
The two-time all star would immediately be an upgrade for the Hornets, and if he was their choice at center, he’d have the chance to flourish.
Where it becomes complicated for Charlotte is the fact that the Hornets hold the third pick in next’s month’s draft. Charlotte is a logical landing spot for James Wiseman, and if Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball go off the board first and second in some order, Wiseman will be available.
The Timberwolves don’t need Wiseman, and, while the Warriors could use him, Golden State may not even keep its pick. If Wiseman lands in Charlotte, it would eliminate the urgent need for a player such as Drummond. But as things sit right now, Drummond would fit nicely in Charlotte.
