Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors hold the No. 2 pick, and it’s one of the most valuable assets a team can offer from the 2020 draft.

Golden State would be a special destination for Ben Simmons because he’d be surrounded by shooters offensively.

The Warriors could start by offering the No. 2 pick. This would hinge on Philadelphia’s perception of LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards.

If the 76ers keep Embiid, they shouldn’t be a landing spot for James Wiseman. But at No. 2, they’d get one of either Ball or Edwards.

As with any discussion surrounding the Warriors, Golden State would have to move the contract of Andrew Wiggins.

Golden State’s ownership and front office are immensely competitive, and they absolutely want to bounce back next season after having the worst record in 2020. The Warriors would be an ideal spot for Simmons if they have enough to acquire him.
