NBA Trade Outcome No. 5 – Suns Acquire Aaron Gordon
If the Suns are not going to trade Devin Booker for the No. 1 overall pick (and they will not) then they should at least give Booker a better chance to win in Phoenix.
The Suns, remember, were the talk of the NBA bubble before the postseason began, and making a move to give Booker a running mate such as Gordon could move them up the ladder in the Western Conference.
In this hypothetical, the Magic would acquire Kelly Oubre Jr. and Cam Payne. Orlando, to their credit, did make the playoffs in the bubble, and they’d be able to put Oubre Jr. in the starting lineup instantly.
Gordon has long been the subject of trade rumors, and this could finally be the time Orlando opts for a fresh start.
