NBA Trade Outcome No. 6 – Victor Oladipo Is Dealt Out Of Indiana
One of the players who is assumed to be on the move this offseason is Victor Oladipo. He’s a special talent, who in the right situation could be the missing piece.
If the Pacers are going to trade Oladipo, they would need some building blocks in return (and as always, salaries need to match).
Hypothetical: The Pacers trade Victor Oladipo to the Miami Heat, in exchange for Tyler Herro, Kendrick Nunn, and Andre Iguodala.
For those wondering, this trade would work salary-wise if the Pacers take on Duncan Robinson instead of Herro, but Herro provides more value.
These trades are all hypothetical, but trades involving the Heat (or Lakers) are especially hypothetical at this time, because the result of the Finals could impact their overall strategy in the offseason.
Jimmy Butler went to Miami last offseason with a superstar running mate, confident in Miami’s core and Erik Spoelstra’s ability. Butler’s move paid off, as Miami is in the Finals, but Oladipo could be a difference-maker on the 2021 Heat.
For Indiana, this deal would give them two young players to build around, and a player who has played in the last six NBA Finals, in Iguodala.
