3 players the Boston Celtics could trade for this offseason

Even if Boston does not land Oladipo, the Celtics could still find a willing trade partner in the Pacers for one of Oladipo’s teammates, Myles Turner.

Immediately, the 6’11” Turner would give Boston a size upgrade over Daniel Theiss, who is listed at 6’8″. Turner is still just 24 years-old, but with Indiana moving on from head coach Nate McMillan, it’s fair to wonder what other moves could be coming once the offseason officially begins.

If Turner becomes available, Indiana would have no shortage of suitors, and it would benefit Boston to check-in on his acquisition price. Much like the hypothetical Oladipo trade discussed above, the Celtics could dangle Hayward in a swap for Turner instead, in a trade that would land Hayward very close to where he starred in college, at Butler.

In Turner, Boston would be getting a player who, at 24, should have many years of solid production ahead of him. Whether he can eventually blossom into an All Star remains to be seen.
