Can’t Trust Kyrie Irving

While Irving is a great scorer, is he a leader? Next season, the Nets will get Kevin Durant back and that’s when the expectations will grow. With Irving, the Nets must think about his leadership skills but most importantly, they must consider his injury history.

Throughout his career, Irving has never played a complete season. Just this year alone, he’s already missed 25+ games. During that time is when Dinwiddie made his case that he should be kept on the roster. If not, then he also made a strong case that a trade involving him would net a huge return.

If the Nets believe that Irving can stay on the court then moving Dinwiddie is a great move. However, history proves that’s not the case. Due to injury issues, trading Dinwiddie will come back to haunt the Brooklyn Nets.
