Despite the consistent losing, the Knicks have a few players on the team who can bring back assets for the future. Julius Randle is one and Marcus Morris is the other.

By signing a one-year deal, the Knicks are in a great position to shed his contract and pick up a future pick and a bench player in the process with a trade.

Teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, and possibly the Brooklyn Nets should all be in the hunt for a veteran like Morris for their run to the playoffs.

Each team has young talent they can spare and the Knicks are in dire need of youth. Scott Perry should go the smart route here and just go for draft picks.

It’s time to see what players like Damyean Dotson and Kevin Knox can do if given time. Moving Morris is like an audition of sorts for the remaining young players on the roster.
