Non-Winning Season
At the end of the day, players play this game to win. Morris is a veteran in the league. There is no reason for the Knicks to keep subjecting him to this type of losing.
During the offseason, Morris was set to join the San Antonio Spurs but instead felt he was a better fit with the Knicks. As a Philadelphia-born kid, New York felt like home. But Morris did not envision this either.
Unless the Knicks go on a magical run, they will find themselves fighting for the chance to get the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, yet again. So, what’s the point of keeping a player like Morris on a roster that has no chance?
As we saw in their game against the Memphis Grizzlies Wednesday night, frustration can take over and something bad can happen from all this losing.
