Bruce Brown sounds like he wouldn’t be mad if the Toronto Raptors traded him to the New York Knicks.

Before the Raptors lost to the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, Brown issued a strong statement on the Knicks potentially acquiring him from the Raptors.

“I am a dog,” Brown told The New York Post. “I play extremely hard on both ends of the floor. I can do just about whatever [Tom Thibodeau] needs me to do.”

The Raptors are expected to trade Brown after acquiring him from the Indiana Pacers in the Pascal Siakam deal. The Knicks, who are one of the top teams in the East, are interested in acquiring Brown.

“I love New York,” Brown said. “I hated New York before I lived here, but as soon as I moved here, I loved it. Anytime you want to do something, you can go do it. Great restaurants, great city, I love being back. … I play extremely hard. I would think [I’m] the type of player that he [Thibodeau] likes. Every time we play Thibs, I go up to him and shake his hand just because of what he’s done. Nothing but respect for Thibs.”

Brown signed a two-year, $45 million contract with the Pacers last offseason in unrestricted free agency. The Miami product is making $22 million this season. He has a club option worth $23 million for next season.

Brown is averaging 12.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.3 blocks this season with the Pacers and Raptors while shooting 47.9% from the field, 32.1% from beyond the arc and 82.1% from the free-throw line.
