According to NBA insider Sam Amick of The Athletic, Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine would be very amenable to a Sacramento Kings trade that would make him De’Aaron Fox’s backcourt mate.

However, according to NBA insider Matt Moore of The Action Network, the Kings haven’t shown interest in making a trade for LaVine.

LaVine signed a five-year, $215 million contract with the Bulls in July 2022. He’s making $40 million this season. The two-time All-Star doesn’t have a trade market right now since Chicago played well without him while he was injured.

The 28-year-old LaVine is averaging 20.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.3 blocks this season while shooting 44.6% from the field, 34.0% from beyond the arc and 85.3% from the free-throw line. The UCLA product has a plus-minus of -84.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls, Sacramento Kings Updates

LaVine signed a four-year, $78 million offer sheet with the Kings in the offseason of 2018 during restricted free agency, but the Bulls matched the offer sheet. LaVine doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract, so he can’t control where he gets traded.

LaVine and Fox have the same agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group. The Kings are 23-14 on the season. They are in fifth place in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Bulls are 18-21. They are in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Along with the Kings, LaVine has been linked to the Los Angeles Lakers. Paul, of course, represents Lakers superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls, Sacramento Kings Updates

It’s possible LaVine doesn’t get traded this season since his value around the NBA is low. The Washington native has career averages of 20.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.3 blocks with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Bulls.
