Multiple teams are interested in trading for Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso and forward Patrick Williams, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.
Teams are more interested in acquiring Caruso and Williams over Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic.
“The two Bulls generating the most November trade curiosity from rival teams? The answer is another hint that it’s very early in this Trade Watch,” Stein reported in his latest NBA trade rumors column. “Rather than LaVine or free agent-to-be DeMar DeRozan or the recently re-signed Nikola Vucevic, it’s … 1. Alex Caruso … who as we’ve previously noted would have a double-digit list of trade suitors if the Bulls decided to make him available (which they haven’t). 2. Patrick Williams … who still intrigues various teams despite his extremely underwhelming start to the season after the former No. 4 overall pick and the Bulls did not come to terms on a contract extension before the Oct. 23 deadline for Class of 2020 first-round picks.”

Caruso is averaging 9.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals this season while shooting 61.5% from the field, 50.0% from beyond the arc and 76.2% from the free-throw line. He is one of the best defenders in the NBA.
Meanwhile, Williams is averaging 5.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting 31.0% overall, 25.6% from 3 and 80.0% from the foul line. He will become a restricted free agent next offseason.

The Bulls are only 5-9. Most NBA execs believe Chicago will blow up the roster before the trade deadline in February and embark on a rebuild.
LaVine and the Bulls are open to parting ways, so if LaVine is traded, the rest of the roster could become available in trade talks.
