One NBA writer is proposing that the Miami Heat acquire Bojan Bogdanovic from the Detroit Pistons in a blockbuster deal. Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report proposed the following trade idea between the Pistons and Heat:
The Detroit Pistons trade Bojan Bogdanovic to the Miami Heat for Duncan Robinson, Nikola Jovic and a 2027 first-round pick
Many scouts around the NBA believe the Heat need to make a big trade after failing to acquire Damian Lillard or Jrue Holiday. While Bogdanovic isn’t an All-Star like Lillard and Holiday, he’s one of the best 3-point shooters in the league.
Bogdanovic averaged 21.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists for the Pistons last season while shooting 48.8% from the field, 41.1% from beyond the arc and 88.4% from the free-throw line. The swingman made 145 3-pointers in 59 games.

The Heat, who lost to the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 NBA Finals in five games, could start Kyle Lowry, Tyler Herro, Bogdanovic, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo if Miami’s front office figured out a way to acquire Bogdanovic from Detroit.
Bogdanovic has career NBA averages of 15.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 39.4% from 3-point land with the Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers, Utah Jazz and Pistons.
In October 2022, Bogdanovic signed a two-year, $39 million extension with the Pistons. The current going price multiple teams have found from the Pistons for Bogdanovic is one first-round pick and multiple second-round picks, according to NBA insider Matt Moore of The Action Network.
