Why The Brooklyn Nets Do The Deal
There is one thing that is certain: the Nets will have to make some difficult decisions in the near future. Ben Simmons’ contract is on the books.
It is possible for the Nets to try and move it, but it will not be easy for them. Simmons is seen as having one of the worst contracts in the NBA.
With that in mind, the team also recently extended the contract of Cameron Johnson for a considerable amount of money. This team will not look to move Johnson, as he is a core member of this team.
Even so, the Nets’ books look awfully messy at the moment. In the meantime, Claxton’s extension is about to expire. That is the only reason why the Nets would do this deal in the first place.
