In our opinion, yes. This is a Los Angeles Lakers team that could use a player like De’Andre Hunter on their roster. He could be seen as a prototypical 3-and-D wing in some respects.

It would be fair to say that Hunter is not an elite shooter, nor is he an elite defender. On the other hand, he is strong enough in both facets at the same time.

As far as the Lakers are concerned, that’s good enough. In order for James and Davis to be successful, they need complementary players. It seems that Beasley was not a good fit for the squad in 2022-23.

As a matter of fact, he was dropped from this team’s rotation in the playoffs. Hunter shouldn’t be subjected to the same fate.
