By contrast, this is another straight salary dump. The Atlanta Hawks are trading De’Andre Hunter for Malik Beasley’s expiring contract. 

With that said, Beasley could be a good addition to this team. The Hawks could use a guard who functions as a shooting specialist.

That would make it easier for them to stagger Trae Young and Dejounte Murray. Beasley qualifies.

On the other hand, he didn’t seem to be enough for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. Eventually, Beasley fell out of their playoff rotation.
