Golden State Warriors Receive: F Kyle Kuzma
Washington Wizards Receive: F Jonathan Kuminga, G/F Moses Moody, G Gary Payton II
Of course, every rebuilding team has the same goal. Eventually, they’re looking to win an NBA championship (or two). The Golden State Warriors may be the golden standard. Pun intended. This team set itself up for long-term, sustainable success by drafting well.
The Warriors’ first championship came with an almost entirely homegrown group. After that, they signed Kevin Durant -and won a couple of more titles. Finally, their last title came with a group they mostly drafted again.
In the meantime, something strange happened. The Warriors had a couple of losing seasons and picked in the lottery as a result. Now, they’ve got a seemingly perturbed Jonathan Kuminga riding the bench.
Kyle Kuzma would be an intriguing trade target for the Warriors to pursue, especially if they prove unable to retain Draymond Green in free agency. He would bring a versatile scoring punch at the four spot, but can also play the three if Green re-signs.

Regardless, Kuzma would likely need to be willing to take less money on his next contract in order to facilitate a sign-and-trade to join the Warriors. If he wants to compete for a championship, it would be worthwhile.
Should the Warriors send Kuminga to Washington?
