Of course, it isn’t only rebuilding teams that need to consider how to develop young players. Almost every NBA team has one or two rookies or sophomores. 

Some have even more. With that in mind, the Warriors are in a unique position. They’re title contenders, but their bench is stacked with intriguing young players. 

There’s some logic in the Warriors’ approach. The idea was to prepare for the future while concurrently focusing on the present.

The Warriors wanted to transition smoothly from one timeline into another.
