In fact, his presence on the team has been impeding Toppin. The Knicks haven’t been able to make room for Toppin. By now, it’s looking like they never will. 

With that in mind, it’s time to move on. Unfortunately, they may not get the value that they’d hope for in exchange for Toppin.

After all, he’s been buried behind Randle for years. He wouldn’t have that problem as a member of the Pacers. In fact, he’d probably be embraced and would have an intriguing fit next to Myles Turner. With that in mind, this is a solid return.
