Orlando Magic
Orlando Magic Receive: 2023 First-Round Pick (No. 7 – IND), 2024 First-Round Pick (Swap – IND)
Indiana Pacers Receive: 2023 First-Round Pick (No. 6 – ORL)
We know. This is a fairly modest proposal. It’s also a perfectly feasible one.
Realistically, it may center around a few key prospects. If the Indiana Pacers are especially high on both Ausar Thompson and Cam Whitmore, this could be the deal for them.
One of them will almost certainly be on the board at 6, and they could both be gone by 7.
NBA DRAFT NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Tyrese Haliburton, Indiana Pacers & Orlando Magic Updates
The Orlando Magic may not want either of them. This team is stacked with forwards. Orlando needs a guard. Granted, Thompson can play the 2, but the Magic may want to add floor spacing, not more playmaking and defense.
If so, they’ll like this deal too. Orlando could pick up a player that fits with their group here. Cason Wallace would be a good choice. Meanwhile, they’ll be armed with a pick swap heading into next summer.
On the other hand, if the Pacers have higher hopes, they’ll like this next trade.
