Here, they’d be bottoming out – at least, they’d be heading in that direction. In all likelihood, this deal would come alongside other deals for the Raptors this summer. 

Pascal Siakam comes to mind. If the Raptors moved him and Anunoby, they’d receive a treasure trove in return this summer. This deal already gets them partway there. 

After all, Avdija and Gafford are both exciting young players. The former is especially enticing. Avdija is a multi-positional defender with some playmaking chops.
