The Memphis Grizzlies do not want to bring Dillon Brooks back next NBA season — under any circumstances. 

That’s harsh. it’s also the reality of the situation. The Grizzlies seem to want a cultural change, and Brooks has been a tone-setter for this team in recent years. 

He’s also a player with warts. Brooks’ shot selection is…questionable. His efficiency has been poor for the last two seasons.

Offensively, he leaves something to be desired. He’s also one of the best point-of-attack defenders in the NBA.

Brooks will have a market in free agency, even if he won’t be getting the type of contract he likely once envisioned.
