Why The Memphis Grizzlies Do The Deal 

We shouldn’t pile on Brooks. For what it’s worth, this is a player with some strengths. 

In fact, Brooks is one of the best defensive wings in the NBA. He’s elite at the point of attack, and he can guard multiple positions as well. Imagine if he could shoot – like, at all. 

Anunoby can shoot. This is one of the best 3-and-D wings in the NBA. In adding him, the Grizzlies would be putting the finishing touch on a serious title contender. 

They may look to replace Adams in free agency. Alternatively, they could simply promote one of Brandon Clarke or Xavier Tillman to the starting position.

Either way, this is a significant upgrade for Memphis. With no disrespect intended to Dillon Brooks.
