Apparently, the Memphis Grizzlies have informed Dillon Brooks that he won’t be returning to the team next NBA season – under any circumstances.
Ouch. That’s harsh. At the same time, it may be fair. This team needs a cultural reset, and Brooks seemed to be a prominent voice in the locker room.
Alternatively, that may not even be the issue here. It could be that Brooks is one of the least efficient three-point shooters in the NBA.
The Grizzlies could have on-court concerns regarding Brooks.
If so, they’ll be hunting for a 3-and-D wing to replace him this summer. With limited cap space, they may need to explore the trade market to land one.
