Why The Philadelphia 76ers Do The Deal
If Harden does force a sign and trade, it could cause a ripple effect. Will a trade request from Joel Embiid follow? The Sixers will certainly hope not, but unfortunately, it’s a possibility.
This deal could keep the MVP happy. In fact, a backcourt of Tyler Herro and Tyrese Maxey may actually suit him.
Embiid’s dominance on the low block may be complemented by a star scoring guard who’s comfortably off the ball like Herro.
If not? The Sixers will trade Embiid. Moreover, they’ll get a tremendous haul for him. In that event, this deal would be part of their new rebuilding process. Unless Harden’s in their uniform next season, that may be inevitable anyway.
