Meanwhile, if Harden does leave Philadelphia, nobody should be shocked. Lately, he’s made a habit of leaving. It wasn’t always this way.

Harden was a Rocket for nine seasons. During that time, the franchise had its most successful era since the mid-90s. Harden seemed happy as the face of their franchise. 

Until, of course, he wasn’t. The Rockets made a series of win-now moves that limited their flexibility. Once it became obvious that they’d hit their ceiling, Harden forced his way to the Brooklyn Nets.
