Why The Memphis Grizzlies Do The Deal 

In fact, the Grizzlies have already gotten a taste of life without Clarke. He’s been absent for a decent portion of the year due to an injury. 

It hasn’t tasted so bad. In fact, Xavier Tillman has done a fine job in Clarke’s stead. Frankly, he’s been so good that Memphis should consider moving on from one of the two similar players. 

Meanwhile, Dillon Brooks has been struggling. He’s due to hit free agency this summer. The Grizzlies may entertain letting Brooks walk. Finney-Smith would be a capable replacement. 

With that said, even if Brooks remains in Memphis, you can never have too many defensive wings. The two could battle it out for a starting position on this team.
