As a result, some Lakers fans are probably watching Westbrook in these playoffs and wondering what happened to him. 

Was it necessary for them to trade Westbrook? During the time they had him, did they use him to the best of their ability? As far as the answer to that question is concerned, no one can be certain. 

To be fair to the Lakers, the fit was always going to be bad on paper. As a complement to Westbrook, the Clippers have a platoon of shooters on their roster.

In addition, they do not have a playmaker on the level of James. It was never a good idea to take the ball out of his hands.
