The Pistons do this deal because they’ve got two non-shooting big men who both have long-term starting potential. Simple. 

Of course, they shouldn’t just dump one or the other. The Pistons need to get value for either one of these guys. They’re both young with plenty of potential. 

With that in mind, they’d probably get more for Duren. Wiseman’s rough start with the Golden State Warriors will still linger in minds. Duren doesn’t have the same negative association. 

This would be a good return for him. Green is exactly the type of defensive wing that the Pistons could use.
