He’s far exceeded expectations. Covington has made a long career as a strong 3-and-D wing. He’s not a star player, but he’s been invaluable to a number of competitive teams.
With that in mind, the Clippers likely expected him to be a rotation player when they signed him. It hasn’t gone that way.
