If not for rumblings of Brown’s unhappiness in Boston, this wouldn’t even be an option. 

Yet, those rumblings exist. If Brown isn’t enjoying his time in Boston, they may look to trade him. In all likelihood, he’d be happy to join his hometown Hawks instead. 

This deal doesn’t have Atlanta landing any draft capital – they won’t need it. By adding Bnown to this current core, the Hawks should stay competitive.

In fact, his fit with Dejounte Murray is cleaner than Young’s – this deal could make them better.
