Minnesota Timberwolves Receive: G Kyrie Irving 

In all actuality, we think Gobert would be an excellent acquisition for Dallas this summer. Preferably, they’d land him while holding onto Irving. 

That may not be an option. Irving can insist on leaving. Meanwhile, it’s starting to look like the Timberwolves could insist on trading Gobert. 

After all, he just took a swing at teammate Kyle Anderson in the middle of a game. Gobert seems to be struggling to fit in with his teammates in Minnesota. A change could make sense for both sides. 

This deal could make sense for both sides, too. Gobert isn’t an offensive superstar, but he’ll raise Dallas’ floor. If they can trade for another star, they could improve.

Meanwhile, a trio of Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns and Irving should give the Wolves an elite offense next season. 

At least, that’s what we’d predict.
