Why The Minnesota Timberwolves Do The Deal
Arguably, the Wolves put the last nail in the coffin of Towns’ time with the team this summer.
The star big man’s fit alongside Rudy Gobert was always questionable. The idea was to compensate for his lack of rim protection by landing an elite rim protector. As it turns out, Towns struggles even more on the perimeter.
By contrast, Siakam is a stout defender in both areas. In fact, he’d be joining Gobert and Jaden McDaniels in arguably the best defensive frontcourt in the NBA.
What more could the Wolves ask for? They already have an elite shot creator in Edwards. Meanwhile, Siakam is obviously not a slouch on offense.
