Toronto Raptors Receive: F/C Karl-Anthony Towns
Minnesota Timberwolves Receive: F/C Pascal Siakam
Of course, those expectations are largely set by a player’s draft position.
Again – Towns was picked first. Offensive dominance isn’t enough to say that he’s surpassed those lofty expectations – he’d need to have aided more winning to do that.
By contrast, if he’d been a late first-round pick, he’d have eclipsed expectations a long time ago.
For example, look at Pascal Siakam. This was the 27th pick in the draft. Siakam would have surpassed expectations just by starting. The fact that he’s become a star makes him a tremendous steal.
