Why The Miami Heat Do The Deal
Well, OK. Perhaps calling Bridges a 3-and-D wing is a bit reductive.
Since joining the Nets at the trade deadline, Bridges has flashed some unexpected shot-making abilities. This is a great two-way player – he’s simply not someone you can build your offense around.
With that said, he should thrive as a third option. In pairing Bridges with Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler, the Heat should get back to contention. They’ll officially have a big three.
Don’t sell O’Neale short, either. He’s more of a pure 3-and-D wing, but this is a quality rotation player that the Heat would love to add.
