Think about it. Any decent NBA player is likely to look better alongside LeBron James. This is one of the best basketball minds in the history of the league. He’ll find a way to make you look good. 

The same could be said for Luka Doncic. Obviously, he doesn’t nearly have James’ veteran experience. He does share his elite floor vision. Doncic makes life easier for his teammates. 

If your team is largely built around rookies and sophomores, you’re not likely to contend by acquiring more young players.

By contrast, if your team is built around an elite playmaker, you may be able to provide an environment for young players to thrive.
