Why The Atlanta Hawks Do The Deal 

This may not be an easy decision for the Hawks to make, either. 

After all, they’d be extremely draft-poor following it. The Hawks already sent three first-round picks to the San Antonio Spurs for Dejounte Murray this summer. Here, they’re sending two more, along with some quality young players, to the Nets. 

Here’s the counterpoint: they already landed Dejounte Murray. Now, they’re getting Mikal Bridges. These are two of the best two-way players in the entire NBA. 

That’s key when you roster the defensively limited Young. Still, Bridges isn’t just a perfect player for this team. Bridges is a skeleton key – he’s a perfect player for any contending team.
