Why The Miami Heat Do The Deal 

As far as this organization is concerned, there is one thing that is certain: it is not your typical move. 

Taking that into account, it would be fair to call it a bad prediction. In most cases, the Heat prefer to retool rather than rebuild their team. Yes, of course. Is there anything new we learned about predictions from what we just learned? 

It is possible that the Heat will decide that it is time to start over. In this case, it would be a good return for an aging Butler if they do so. With Barrett, Quickley, and two first-round picks added to their roster, the outlook for the future looks much brighter for them. 

Additionally, this deal should not force Miami to drop to the bottom of the standings, either, as a result of this deal. Barrett and Quickley are already contributing to the team.

As far as the Heat are concerned, it is likely the team will suffer short-term consequences here, but they probably won’t suffer badly enough to turn down the potential long-term benefits.
