The truth is that even as journalists, we don’t always have our finger on the pulse. There are some teams that deliberately spread misinformation in order to conceal their true intentions. 

It is important to keep in mind that these are not black-and-white issues. It may be that the consensus dictates that a team should take a certain course of action. However, that does not mean that it is an objective fact. 

For instance, it was widely expected that the Hornets would trade Rozier because they were in the midst of a tanking season. Yes, of course. As for what they’re already doing, on the other hand, they’re already doing an excellent job of it.
