Disclaimer: the Rockets should not do this deal if they land a top-2 pick. 

If they land first overall, there’s no trading the pick. Victor Wembanyama will come into the NBA and have some of it’s highest trade value from day 1.

Arguably, only Giannis Antetokoumnpo would have more. 

Still, the Rockets would be ill-advised to even trade Scoot Henderson for Towns. Henderson looks like the league’s next great point guard. He may not be Wembanyama, but he’d go first overall in more drafts than not.

On the other hand, if the Rockets land outside of the top 2, all bets are off. It wouldn’t be a shock to see this organization make some drastic moves in a bid to dramatically improve.
