Every NBA team doesn’t take the same approach to building a roster.
They couldn’t. Market deficiencies are created. If too many teams are zigging, other teams are forced to zag. It’s part of what makes the NBA so fun.
For example, the Charlotte Hornets are probably tanking. This team ranks among the worst in the NBA at the moment.
Granted, they’ve spent much of the season without LaMelo Ball – but at this point, their direction is clear.
On the other hand, the New York Knicks have been surprisingly competitive this season. Many fans expected them to tank this year, but so far, that doesn’t appear to be the direction they’re heading in.
Could they make a win-now move?
