Why The Miami Heat Do The Deal 

The Heat have been pretty underwhelming this season as well. At 16-15, they aren’t living up to expectations. 

At the same time, unlike the Raptors, the Heat know they can travel far with this group. Last season, they advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Heat would be justified in assuming they’re only a big move away from getting back to contention. 

This would be that big move. Moreover, for all the criticisms we just laid on VanVleet, he remains a productive player. In fact, he’d be a tremendous upgrade over Lowry at this stage in either’s career.
