The Jazz are among the league’s most confusing teams. They were supposed to be near the bottom of the standings. 

Instead, they’re closer to the top. At first, it felt like an early season fluke. By now, one wonders if these Jazz are for real. 

With that said, Gay hasn’t actually been a huge element of their success. His minutes are down, and he’s shooting poorly from long range. The Jazz could move him, collect some modest assets and still continue winning. 

Frankly, this team is playing with house money. If they start losing, they can capitalize on the draft. If they start winning, they have other team’s picks to exploit down the line.
