Why The Houston Rockets Do The Deal 

The Rockets do have something of a hole at the 3 spot. 

Currently, Eric Gordon occupies the position. He’s 34 years old, and he’s 6’3. He doesn’t feel like the long-term solution for this club. 

Meanwhile, the rockets drafted two wings in the 2022 NBA draft. Still, Jabari Smith Jr. and Tari Eason both look like 4s. Perhaps one of them will develop into a 3 in time, but that isn’t something to bank on, either. 

From that point of view, Bey could be a perfect addition to this club. He’s a capable shot-creator and defender who should fit right in here.

Meanwhile, if Houston is concerned about tanking, they need not worry. Bey is unlikely to add a large number of wins to their record, and they’re already in pole position for lottery odds.
