In a competition, nobody wants to place last. Yet, somebody has to. That’s true in the NBA as well. Every season, there will be teams at the bottom of the standings. That’s just how standings work.
Normally, those teams are not strong candidates to make a deal with each other. After all, they have the same goals and motivations. With that said, if one team particularly likes a player another team has, they may make an exception.
