With that said, it’s hard to blame the Raptors if they’re struggling to find on-ball reps for Anunoby. There’s only one ball, and they have plenty of playmakers. 

In fact, most of them are wings like Anunoby. Most significantly, Pascal Siakam has been this team’s offensive engine for years. Given the level he’s playing at, it would be hard to justify taking the ball out of his hands. 

At the same time, Scottie Barnes’ Rookie of the Year winning 2021-22 season further clouds Anunoby’s future outlook. Barnes has obvious star potential – where does Anunoby fit in? 

On top of all of that, Fred VanVleet is still north of the border. We don’t know if the rumors about Anunoby’s discontent are true.
