Los Angeles Lakers Receive: F/C Kristaps Porzingis, F Kyle Kuzma, 2025 First-Round Pick (WAS), 2026 First-Round Pick (Swap – WAS)
Washington Wizards Receive: F/C Anthony Davis
With Davis having slightly declined, a question comes to mind: was acquiring him worthwhile for the Lakers?
Some will automatically answer yes. After all, the Lakers won an NBA title with Davis playing like a superstar. If you want to argue that a championship justifies an acquisition on its own, that’s fair.
On the other hand, the Lakers have struggled since. Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans have been feasting off of that trade.
Brandon Ingram remains a key part of their core, they just selected promising rookie Dyson Daniels with the Lakers’ first-round pick, and they may have more lottery picks on the horizon.
